Most of the AViruses of today can detect RavMon (without even updating database).

If ‘open with…’ dialogue box appears when you double click your drive icon please do following.
Enter your drive with winrar. Delete ‘autorun.inf’ files from your drive. example- C:\autorun.inf

You can use RRT (Remove Restrictions Tool) to fix the restrictions caused by those viruses.

I have a solution for pen drive virus by preventing it from autorun.
GO: control panel> Administrative tools> services
THEN: stop and disable service name “Shell Hardware Detection”.
Now if we double click a virus effected pen drive the computer will not be effected by virus but to open the pen drive you still have to:
1. right click it and press open.
or
2. press the FOLDER button in the top(right of SEARCH button)
or
3. use the method stated above by you(vistaarc).

I assume that your PC is affected by RavMon Virus, It also disable your showing hidden files ability… I’ve a partial fix for RavMon [Enable Drive Open, Enable Show Hidden Files]. Now, I need RavMon Virus to make a full fix.

I borrowed KOPA Virus from my friend to make the Kopa Killer

Soon, I’ll post the fix or mail it to you…
