WP-BanglaFixer :: WordPress Plugin
Mozilla Firefox has some specific problems/bugs for displaying Bangla web pages. One of them is, when you align texts as “Justify”, the text become broken (see the image). Webmasters / Bloggers often forget this issue and as a result, they loose a number of visitors who are using Firefox for browsing their site/blog.
BanglaFixer is a plugin for WordPress, that fixes broken Bangla texts in Firefox automatically. And visitors using other browsers also can see your Bangla WordPress blog seamlessly. This plug-in is theme independent, works with any WordPress theme, and doesn’t require any manual editing of the CSS or any other files.
Installation
- Download BanglaFixer v1.0 and unzip the archive.
- Upload
bangla-fixer.phpinto yourwp-content/plugins/directory. - Activate the plugin on your WP Admin » Plugin Management page by clicking the corresponding “Activate” link under the Action column.
- And enjoy happy blogging

Wow! cool plugin, definitely.
I really like it. Even in those early days, I suffered from this problem for many days…. I wish I had a plugin like this that time. I am sure it will help many wordpress users.

আমি যতদূর জানি, ওয়ার্ডপ্রেস প্লাগইন ডিরেক্টরীতে সাবমিট করলে নিজেরনাম.wordpress.com ওয়ালারা সেইটা ব্যবহার করতে পারে… এবং শুরুতেই আমি প্লাগইন্সটি ডিরেক্টরীতে সাবমিট করেছি…

অনেক আগে এই ঝামেলাটা নিয়ে মোজিলার সাথে আলাপ চলছিলো। https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=240914
এখন এটা ঠিক হয়ে গ্যাছে। তাই আশা করছি আগামী ফায়ারফক্স সংষ্করণগুলিতে এই ঝামেলা আর থাকবে না।

প্রথম আলোর ওয়েব সাইট দেখার জন্য ইন্টারনেট এক্সপ্লোরার ব্যবহার করতে হবে। ফায়ারফক্সে যদি দেখতেই চান তাহলে IETab অ্যাড-ইনটা ইন্সটল করে নিন।

i m getting the following error shown at the top over header section after installing bangla fixer plugin in wordpress 2.5.1.

ভাইয়া কোন সলিউশনই কি সম্ভব না?? এরকম হলে তো খুব মসিবতের কথা। এই ফাকে একটা কথা বলে নেই। আমি কয়েকদিন আগে সার্ভার চেঞ্জ করেছি। আগের সার্ভারে ঠিক ঠাক কাজ করেছে প্লাগইন টা। কিন্তু নতুনটাতে এসেই এই ঝামেলা দেখা দিচ্ছে। সার্ভার এর উপর কি কোন ধরণের সমস্যা হতে পারে। আগের সার্ভারেও 2.5.1 ভার্সন ছিল।
আরেকটা কথা। উপরে অমি আজাদ ভাই বলে গেছেন ফায়ারফক্স এর পরবর্তী ভার্সনে এটা resolved করা হয়েছে। তার মানে কি ফায়ারফক্স ৩ এ এই সমস্যাটা হবেনা বলে আশা করতে পারি। এ ব্যাপারে আপনার কি কিছু জানা আছে?

Yes, Omi bhai is right and I got your problem. It’s due server configuration, your server doesn’t support “echo < <<"

First, thank you for this extremely useful plugin. I have just installed the new version of the plug in in our community blogsite but still the formatting [for justified texts] problem persists for Firefox 2.0 users. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Muktangon.

Yes we are using the plugin in the above site. Please scroll down the blog’s front page to find this post where we are testing the plugin : “সমস্যা রিপোর্ট করুন – banglafixer test”. Our WP version is 2.5.1. Would really appreciate your suggestion.
